Ana Maria Orduz
The pianist, teacher and manager Ana María Orduz is a fundamental element in the piano culture of Antioquia and the country. Recognized for "her passion on stage, her great expressiveness, her extensive musical career and her determination to create culture around the piano" (Yamaha), Ana María is founder and co-director of the Piano Festival of the Americas and the founder and director of the Pianissimo Foundation, with which it organizes concert series and the Pianissimo Festival-Competition, which in its latest version (2023) included the participation of 600 pianists from 11 countries.
He has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and has given solo piano and chamber music recitals in Malaysia, Spain, Costa Rica, Chile, Panama, Italy, Singapore, Brazil, Colombia, and the United States. Ana María Orduz has played as a soloist with the Medellín Philharmonic, Eafit Symphony, and University of Memphis Symphony orchestras, among others.
He obtained his undergraduate degree Suma Cum Laude from the University of Memphis (USA), and his master's degree and doctorate from the University of Iowa (USA). She is currently an associate professor at the University of Antioquia, and since 2017 she has been a Yamaha piano artist.
