Blanca Uribe, originally from Bogot\u00e1, moved to Medell\u00edn, growing up in a family of musicians. He began his studies with his grandmother and then with the Italian teacher Luisa Manighetti. At the age of 11, he debuted with the Colombian Symphony Orchestra and continued his training in the United States and Vienna, standing out with academic honors. Her career as a pianist led her to performances on prestigious international stages and to be a soloist with renowned orchestras.<\/p>

From 1969 to 2005, she was a professor at Vassar College in New York, receiving the title "George Shermann Dickinson Chair." Founded in 1906 by Maestro Alberto Castilla as a Music School in Ibagu\u00e9 that was initially aimed at men, but later opened its doors to women under the direction of Tulia P\u00e1ramo. In 1920, it was named the Tolima Conservatory of Music. In 1932, the Sal\u00f3n Alberto Castilla was inaugurated, one of the most important concert halls in Colombia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Under the direction of prominent directors such as Amina Melendro de Pulecio, the Tolima Conservatory has provided quality musical education. In 1980 it was elevated to a Public Higher Education Institution with administrative autonomy and independent heritage and in 1987 it was decided that the official name of the Institution was \u201cCONSERVATORIO DEL TOLIMA\u201d, as it is currently known, being a Higher Education Institution, according to Law 30 of 1992.<\/span><\/p>

Qui\u00e9nes Somos Blanca Uribe Blanca Uribe, originaria de Bogot\u00e1, se traslad\u00f3 a Medell\u00edn, creciendo en una familia de m\u00fasicos. Comenz\u00f3 sus estudios con su abuela y luego con la maestra italiana Luisa Manighetti.
